Many couples we see are addicted to sugar, carbs, coffee and alcohol. They lack stamina, have aches & pains including headaches, wake up not well rested with nasal congestion, experience muscle cramps, anal itching, bloating & bad gas, low libido, insomnia and some form of skin irritation most often acne. And these symptoms are on the low priority list because the main reason they see me is because they want to be pregnant now!
Research has shown that obesity and infertility have a positive correlation; therfore being overweight can negatively impact your ability to become pregnant by affecting the ovulation process (independent of other factors including age). Being pver weight also increases the risk of your daughter being infertile. So you can break the chain now by getting fit before conceiving. You only need about 5-10% of weight loss to positively influence your ability to ovulate. So although we emphasized weight loss in the title we want to communicate that the Acubalance Weight loss Program is much more than just losing weight. It is a wellness program. The same things that make people feel sick also makes them fat. Actually, being overweight is often a symptom of an underlying health issue. Many of these symptoms above including difficulty losing weight is a result of toxins and chronic inflammation. Chronic stress can lead to elevated cortisol levels which can lead to inflammation, insomnia, irritability, increased abdominal fat and can also negatively impact implantation. Food has become our prozac and as a result we seek comfort foods (sweets and simple carbs) to act as anti-depressants. Plus we unconsciously eat more than we need as a coping mechanism to fill our emotional voids and disappointments.
