PCOS Pregnancy

After trying to get pregnant with metformin and then clomid for a couple of years I ended up with severe hot flashes, headaches, swing moods and No Baby! A friend recommended I visit Acubalance. At the beginning I was very exceptic, I doubted my hot flashes could be fixed with acupuncture, pregnancy was not in my mind anymore, I was very disappointed. I met Trevor Erikson at Acubalance and with only 2 sessions I got rid of my hot flashes! I talked with Trevor about fertility treatments and attended the information sessions offered by Lorne Brown and decided to give it a try! I followed the fertility diet (which was a great help for my PCOS symptoms), religiously drank my Chinese herbal tea, recorded my temperatures & symptoms, exercised and practiced relaxation techniques and could see that in a few weeks my mood and overall health was much better and I was very happy with having accomplished this (my husband was the happiest). At the back of my mind I was fighting my doubts that I could get pregnant, one day I was a true believer but when my period came and ovulation didn't happen, I was disappointed. My husband was very supportive and encouraged me to remain positive; he already had seen so many changes in me. Trevor was very patient and good listener and helped me get back on track; he made me see the bigger picture by showing me how much progress I had made. After 5 months in treatment my husband had a job relocation to Calgary, we had to pack and get everything ready for the move so, to keep my sanity, I stopped recording my temperatures and symptoms thinking that I would continue once settled in Calgary. Three weeks after we arrived in Calgary I found out I was pregnant, I couldn't believe it, I didn't even know when I had ovulated, I wasn't keeping track! I did 5 home pregnancy tests and still, I had to get the final confirmation with a blood test to believe it! I am today (March 9, 2010) 31 weeks pregnant and healthy; my baby is due on May 10th. My husband and I are very thankful to Trevor and Acubalance; we wouldn't have made it without you!
