Lorne Brown at Acubalance Vancouver

Dr. Lorne Brown B.Sc, CA, Dr. TCM, FABORM, CHt is the founder and clinical director of Acubalance Wellness Centre, the first Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic in British Columbia dedicated to reproductive health and fertility.

Lorne takes an integrative approach to fertility treatment using Chinese medicine to naturally enhance fertility as well as support Assisted Fertility Treatments like In Vitro Fertilization.

After receiving his Dr. of Chinese Medicine at Vancouver’s International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Lorne completed extensive postgraduate training in gynecology, obstetrics and reproductive medicine under notable experts in the field. He is also a Clinical hypnotherpist (CHt) and uses hypnosis for fertility to help with the Mind Body fertility Connection integrated with acupuncture and Chinese herbs.

As a sought after authority on fertility and Chinese medicine, Lorne has been featured in national publications like Macleans Magazine and The Globe and Mail and has appeared on the Bill Good Show, City TV, and CBC radio.

Also a popular speaker, Lorne has presented at the 2011 Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada (SOCG), The 2011 Science Advisory Panel of Assisted Human Reproduction Canada (AHRC), The 2006 & 2010 Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS) meeting as well as the Serono Symposia Seventeenth International Conference for Nurses and Support Personnel in Reproductive Medicine. He also presented on Integrating Western and Chinese Medicine at the 2008 Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS) annual conference, 2008 AAAOM International Conference and the 2009 Texas South West Symposium.

He is a Fellow of the American Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), is an associate member of the Infertility Awareness Association of Canada, and sits on the Quality Assurance Board of the British Columbia College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture (CTCMA). He is a member of the Fertile Souls Clinical Excellence in Fertility Professionals (CEFP). He was the first appointed “Natural Products Expert” to Clinical Research Ethics Board (CREB) for the University of British Columbia.

Lorne lives in Vancouver with his wife and their two sons.
