Lichen Planus
Lichen planus is a very stubborn problem that can affect both the oral mucosa (inside of the mouth) and as a rash on the skin. On the surface of the body, lichen planus is characterized by the 5 P's- Polyangular, papular, puritic (itchy), purple, and planar (flat topped), and in the mouth with a wickham striae (white lacey streaks). There is both simple and hypertrophic variants.
