I was reading your info re: pomegranate juice tested on rats & its benefits to improve male's sperm count, motility & decreased abnormal sperm.  What is your opinion for drinking pomegranate juice each day for my husband, & what are the disadvantages?  Are there any benefits for women as I heard it is not too good for women who prepare for IVF which I am planning to undergo in 3 to 4 weeks ?

Can you also suggest any other daiy food, e.g. fruits or vegetables which my husband should consume more to improve his sperm count & motility ?  As for myself, any other food which I should also be careful not to consume  for my IVF treatment ?

Antioxidants for sperm

Pommegranate for sperm health would be a good habit for your husband to start.  Actually, his daily intake of antioxidants should increase.  Antioxidants help guard the body at a cellular level fro ROS (reactive oxidative stress) that can damage many aspects of sperm quality.  Antioxidants come primarily from fruits and veggies, so, these are foods he should eat more of.  As far as eating goes, please refer to the Acubalance Fertility diet.  It should be understood that changes in sperm (particularly morphology) can take up to 3 months to be noticed.  But, the quality of the sperm already in the spermatic ducts WILL respond well to the diet and antioxidants he should increase asap.  This same dietary guide applies to you too.

Good Luck with your IVF.
