Herpes is a common viral condition that lives within the nervous system. Many variants exist, the most common being Herpes simplex 1 and 2, and herpes Zoster (shingles). The rash itself is characterized by very itchy, and often painful, blisters that burst easily. Whereas shingles usually only expresses itself once in a persons lifetime, the simplex variants can often times become chronic, with many individuals manifesting it on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. Research has shown that more than 6 outbreaks a year can be a causative factor for infertility. Chinese herbal medicine can be quite effective in treating this stubborn problem.
