SABLEFISH
Sablefish is a sleek, black-skinned fish from the cold, deep waters of the North Pacific, harvested on the west coast of Canada. It has pearly white flesh, large velvety flakes and sweet, rich flavour.
4 – 6 oz (4 – 170 grams) sablefish
1 - 2 Tbsp. grape seed oil
Coarse salt and black pepper
In a lightly oiled large skillet over medium-high heat
PLACE seasoned Sablefish fillets, flesh side down
SEAR for 1 minute or until golden
TURN fillets over and
PLACE skillet in a the oven
BAKE for ca 6 minutes our until the edges of fillets flake easily
