It is getting harder for me to follow both western & acupuncture medicines, please need your advice.
Dear Acubalance Dr's,
Firstly I want to convey my sincere thanks to you all for developing such a useful website,i am knowing many useful things daily.
Am ttc since 3 years. My periods became irregular after moving to US after marriage. In 2007 it was first diagosed that am not ovulating then and later ovulating infrequently.Since then i have been trying to get pregnant, had an ectopic pregnancy in '08 as a result of a clomid cycle. We became tired of the clomid cycles and went for ivf.My 1st stimulated cycle last year failed, but i got pregnant immediately with the frozen embryo transfer, but unfortuanately i miscarried after a month. The blood tests showed that i have some clotting factor. So my Reproductive Endocrinologist put me on Metformin,Baby Aspirin since then, additionally i have been asked to stay on folcap(folic acid+B6 & B12 vitamin tablets). My RE said if i have to go for my next frozen transfer he may put me on Lovenox injection.
After i miscarried i got my first normal periods after 2 months and after that didnt get my period so far.Its been 3 months so far and am on Metformin since 5 months. Do you think Metforminhas delayed my period?
As IVF was getting very painful and not reliable and as i was not getting my period for long we decided to try with Acupuncture this time.Am going for Acupuncture since 1 month, once a week and taking herbs twice a day.Couple of weeks back my Acupuncturist put me on amino acids l-arginine,carnatine & glutamine.Since then my life has become harder.Am not able to take metformin thrice daiily +baby aspirin + folcap+ amino acids + herbs twice. So please help me by giving your valuable suggestion, can i stop metformin & baby aspirin. How significant difference it can bring to my harmones or health? What about Amino acids? Which medicines are key for me in getting pregnant naturally and help preventing miscarriage.Which to continue, which to stop?
Thanks a lot.

Hi,
I suggest sharing with your practitioner exactly what you posted here. They maybe able to reduce some of the different medicines you are taking. Also, ask them based on their experience and your specific case how long would you need to stay on for marked improvement.
