Am I too late?
Hi I am 44 years old, have had 3 unsuccessful attempts at IVF over the past 4 years. My FSH in Jan. was 21, over the past 2 years my cycles have become irregular and sporadic sometimes up to 6 months apart and when they do come they are not heavy. I think I have had phantom periods, due to the fact I have stage 2 endo and pain is a common pre-cursor to a cycle starting, I have had pains for up to a week and no cycle.
As I approach 45 I think, is there anything that can be done? My HSG was clear, no blockages. Just did not respond to IVF drugs, no eggs. What if anything can be done? I have been to Genesis and their only option was egg donation. I have never had children and always wanted to.

Hi Prairie Girl
Your story reminds me of a similar couple I worked with over a year ago. She wrote about her experience and I have included the link below. She had her baby girl at the age of 45 and she went a few days over 40 weeks. But when she first came to see me she was 44, with high FSH. She also had early recruitment of her dominant follicle (ovulated around day) and bleed about 8 days later (luteal phase defect). I was not optimistic I was able to help her have her conceive naturally. But I felt confident we could help resolve many of her other health issues that were interfering with her quality of life. We agreed to work together to regulate her cycle and improve her health hoping that it would improve her chances of conception, but even if no pregnancy resulted, her quality of life would be better for her time and money spent getting balanced.
The quickest and greatest odds of parenting at age 45 with a high FSH is through adoption or donor egg. Chinese medicine can do wonders for your overall health and wellbeing. And sometimes, like the story below, is enough to bring your reproductive potential from almost zero to a full term baby. You have options as mentioned above and some provide you wilthmuch better odds of parenting.
