When is Weight Gain Not Your Fault
This webinar will be focused primarily on the male and female overweight/obese person, their disease processes, and their relationship with their doctor as it pertains to actively helping them lose that weight. In essence it will be a discussion about my book that will address the common disorders brought on by having this extra weight. Most importantly we will talk about what is not being addressed, but should be addressed by the medical profession. A profession whose job it is to help this rising population get control of the disease of obesity that has become the number one preventable cause of sickness and death in the U.S. It has been stated many times in the media that obesity has reached epidemic proportions. I believe this is because physicians in the U.S. have inadequately treated this disease process. The majorities of physicians treat the diseases that are being caused or made worse by being obese, but ignore the root cause of why the weight was gained in the first place. The webinar will focus on what each person needs to be listening for as they seek treatment to lose weight. The idea will be about what questions they should ask, as well as what questions they should be asked by the medical professional. Throughout the webinar we will discuss specific disease processes that are common, like thyroid issues, diabetes, and anemia to name just a few. We will also discuss not so common disorders such as poly cystic ovarian syndrome, post-menopausal as well as male andropause hormone imbalances. The importance will be
the diagnosis of these disorders with obesity as the fore front of the physicians thinking. Then having had the disease treated, how addressing the obesity in the correct way helped cure both. We will also talk in detail about how diseases, and most importantly weight re-gain can be avoided by treating obesity in the correct manner. A vital part of this webinar that is based upon the book: WEIGHT GAIN: When Its Not Your Fault is that I talk about specific disease states in layman’s terms that are prevalent in the obese population. This webinar will explain in easy to understand terms medical issues that silently wreak havoc on our body making it nearly impossible to lose, let alone maintain a healthy weight.
