Dr. Perloe earned his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University, Hershey Medical Center, and served his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Perloe completed his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Minnesota.

The basis of uterine function is endometrial receptivity; yet Western reproductive medicine can offer very little to assist women with uterine receptivity. The wisdom of TCM takes receptivity as the central theme in fertility. If ones cells are not receptive, they will not open up to hormonal messages, appropriate protein expression, or the ability to receive an implanting embryo. This talk will focus on hindrances to receptivity, and therapeutic modalities to help women become more receptive to life.

During this free webinar, Dr. Perloe explores issues the diagnosis and treatment of infertility with ovulation induction, insemination and surgery as well as in vitro fertilization. You will learn about age related infertility, fallopian tube obstruction, male infertility, PCOS, endometriosis and use of donor sperm or donor eggs. Mind-Body issues will be discussed. Learn how you can take a more active role in the fertility process. 

Even though Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a common cause of infertility, the women affected with it tend to range widely in their presentation of it. Some have irregular or absent menstruations, some have acne and/ or excessive hair growth, and some will have visibly cystic ovaries upon ultra sound examination. Some may be overweight, while others are not. All women tend to manifest their own unique “version” of PCOS, and hence why having a customized treatment makes sense.
