Study: PCOS & Stress
I just read a study on PCOS and stress. It compared a group of women having PCOS with a group of women that displayed no health conditions. Their BMI ranges were the same. The study showed that during stressful events (i.e. public speaking) both heart rate and cortisol levels were significantly higher in the PCOS group. This further proves the necessity of PCOS patients to adopt regular stress releiving techniques (i.e. meditation, acupuncture, nature, journaling) or chances of continued ovulatory disturbances as well as other conditions such as diabetes, heart issues, and weight gain is likely.
