Herbs in tea or pill format more effective

Hi TCM doctors,

My doctor of Chinese Medicine offers herbs in both tea format and pill format. Which is more effective/will deliver faster results?

The teas seem to take more preparation time and don't taste that great ( typically requiring a 30 min soak prior, bringing it to a boil and then reducing the heat to a simmer for 45 mins). But if they are more effective/ will lead to a better/faster outcome for fertility then I will opt for the teas but otherwise the herbal pills are a lot more convenient and better tasting.
