39 - Three Miscariages, Now Pregnant in 3rd Trimester

 Overview:
Trying to Conceive (TTC) for 2 years. She conceived within 3 months of trying, however it ended in miscarigae at 7 weeks, a D and C followed. They started to try again, conceiving within a few months and sadly ending in miscariage at 7 weeks, and, yet another at 5 weeks. After the third miscariage she went to the pregnancy loss clinic where she had a endometerium biopsy and blood work which all came back normal. However, there was a large fibroid that was found and removed. Since the removal of the fibriod her menses has been extremly light and dark brown in color. They had been trying to conceive for 5 months after the fibroid surgery with no resulting pregnancies. Her obvious goal is to become pregnant and deliver a healthy baby.
 Treatment:
Despite my recommendation to take a break from trying, her and her partner contiued to try to conceive while undergoing acupuncture and herbal treatments.  The client came weekly over 4 months, then weekly again once became pregnant.  She decreased wheat, dairy and sugar, she switched to an organic local diet and eliminated coffee. She started practicing yoga
2-3 times per week and was involved in fun outdoor activities with friends and family. She really focused on enyoying the present moment and not to get to far ahead of herself.  After 3.5 months of treatment, she again was pregnant. An herbal formula was taken until she was 10 weeks pregnant combined with weekly acupuncture treatments until she was 15 weeks pregnant.
 Outcome:
Although still slightly nervous, client is almost in her third trimester and doing well.
