38 - IVF #5 - Poor Responder

 Overview: 
Female, Age 38: trying to concieve for 4 years. 
IVF #1: 2 transferred 3 frozen, unsuccessful.  IVF #2: frozen embryos transferred, unsuccessful.  IVF #3 & 4: poor response/not enough follicles, cycles cancelled.  IVF #5: She was sent to Acubalance by the fertility clinic to try optimize the chances of this final attempt.  After 2 months of treatment with acupuncture twice per week, Pregnant!  She also presented with a feeling of cold, low libido, red sore eyes, painful menses, and excess worry.  Also, upon observation, quite understandably, was emotionally stagnated.  Consumed a diet high in processed foods and exercised very little.  Husband sperm showed no issues but he also came for regualr acupuncture.
Treatment:
limit processed foods intake, get blood flowing via cardio exercise at least 2 times per week, take recommended supplements, and try to enjoy life again.  She was very compliant with acupuncture treatments 2/wk 2 months before transfer, and before and after on transfer day.  Husband was also compliant with 2 treatments per week for 6 weeks before his sample..
Outcome: 
She ended up having a good response to the IVF medication, had at least 2 follicles >20mm and at least 2 others >17mm.  In total 6 eggs fertilized.  Later that month ultrasound showed 2 heartbeats!
