Overview:
This patient generally had periods every 4-6 months. Her and her husband were wanting to start a family but due to her irregular cycles and failed attempts trying to concieve using western fertility medicine she was becoming distressed. She had done 6 clomid cycles, 6 cycles with Metformin and 3 HCG triggers with no success. She also experienced fatigue, generally cold body, low libido, and moodiness. She had been steadily gaining weight and her cycles were becoming more and more irregular to the point where she only had a period 2-3x a year.
Treatment:
This patient followed the 3 week mediclear cleanse and then made many diet changes according to the foods which she was reacting too. She also started eating a lower GI diet. She began daily exercise and supplements as well. She did weekly acupuncture treatments and started a Chinese herbal forumla. She began a cleanse in April 2008 and moved out of province in Dec 2008.
Outcome:
She started loosing weight and generally feeling a greater level of health. This included a better emotional balance, more energy, increased libido, warmer body, ...Her first period came after 4 months of treatment (and more than 8 months from her last period). Over the next 5 months she had 5 periods ranging in length from 20 - 42 days. At this time due to a change in her personal life she moved out of province. With this regular cycle, her chances of conceiving naturally have greatly increased.
