Initial Consultation

During your initial in-depth phone consultation, Acubalance clinical director Lorne Brown, Dr. TCM, FABORM, will review your medical and fertility history and discuss all of your concerns. Dr. Brown has extensive experience working with western fertility specialists as well as with alternative practitioners, and can help you:

• Navigate through all the treatment options (Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART), Chinese medicine, supplements, diet, yoga, mind-body techniques)
• Integrate natural care and ART to optimize your chances of conception and to save time and money
• Decide when seeing a fertility doctor is important and what questions you need to ask.

Dr. Brown will then provide you with a comprehensive Chinese medicine diagnosis and an explanation of what that means. You will receive a Personal Treatment Program that recommends a custom herbal formula, nutritional supplements and written advice on diet and lifestyle changes that you can make to optimize your fertility.

Who is this for?

• Women and couples who are unable to come to the Acubalance clinic but want a Personal Acubalance Treatment Program
• Women and couples currently seeing an acupuncturist and looking for a second opinion.

Cost: $199.00 +HST

This includes a 30-minute initial telephone consultation, followed by written recommendations for diet, lifestyle changes, and supplements. As well, you will receive a detailed treatment plan that you can share with your local Chinese medicine practitioner.

Getting started
As soon as we receive you and your partners completed intake forms, as well as any other medical records and payment, we will contact you to schedule your first appointment. Your appointment includes a full review of your medical, fertility and health histories, as well as your Personal Treatment Program.

Ongoing Distant Personal Treatment Program

During ongoing, monthly phone consultations with Acubalance clinical director Lorne Brown, Dr. TCM, FABORM, you can discuss any questions and concerns you have. Dr. Brown will review your health status and, if necessary, adjust your herbal formula and treatment protocol. At the end of four months you should see significant changes in your menstrual cycle and your overall health and well-being. Most clients find that they lose weight (if needed), experience deeper, more restful sleep and achieve a greater sense of calm.
At this point many couples are ready to conceive.
