Jewish Independent - Menschenings - Traditional route to fertility
Lorne Brown’s Acubalance Wellness Centre is unique in Canada.
This is my kind of city!” ... Lorne Brown’s firm resolve after visiting here years ago. “I share its values ... healthy lifestyle, outdoor living, organic food stores.” So Lorne heads back to Montreal (he was born in Fredericton, N.B.), settles his affairs, packs his belongings and, since 1994, Vancouver has been home.
After earning a BSc in mathematics and certification as a chartered accountant, Lorne returned
to the halls of learning to study traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). He became “intrigued” with the possibilities of its practice when his severe digestive problems were treated and cured by Chinese medicine
methods where western medical procedures had failed. Becoming a doctor of TCM, Lorne pursued specialized education in advanced acupuncture and TCM protocols for fertility and pregnancy.
Six years ago, Lorne founded the Acubalance Wellness Centre (www.acubalance.ca) on West 8th Avenue in Kitsilano, where he and his team of associates provide treatment to “optimize men’s and women’s reproductive
health.” In fact, Lorne runs the first (and possibly the only) TCM clinic in Canada that only treats infertility.
