Luteal Phase Defect
A luteal phase defect is an imbalance between progesterone and estrogen, or simply a progesterone deficiency.
The Chinese point of view is that the luteal phase defect is the weakening of the Spleen, which if left untreated may develop into a Kidney weakness. Luteal phase defect usually involves both Kidney and Spleen vacuity, also known as Spleen Kidney Yang dual vacuity.
